Oh my gosh! What a big day for our Ms. Pinky! She’s tying the knot on Saturday, to Keith Coogan!

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy here only six days away from the Big Day thinking about one of my favorite movies in the world. I don’t even know how many times I’ve seen Grease in my lifetime, but I know we wore out the VHS copy of it we had growing up because we’d watched it so much.

Who wouldn’t love the star-crossed lovers (Danny and Sandy), or the Pink Ladies, or the songs about Summer Nights?

Grease was a childhood favorite of mine and it never grows old. It’s a timeless classic in my mind and being able to meet any of the cast members today is like dream come true.

A few years ago I was able to meet Sandy herself, Olivia Newton-John, and I thought I might lose my mind.

But most recently I was able to meet Eddie Deezun, who played the hapless nerd “Eugene” in the movie, and I was still pretty excited. It’s so cool when old favorites can come out and meet fans at the Hollywood Show (or similar shows around the country).

I’ve been lucky enough to meet several cast members over the years – in addition to Olivia and Eddie, I was blessed to have meet Jeff Conaway right before he passed away. Jeff was amazing to get to talk to and had a heart of gold.

Earlier this year I had the fun experience with Mikey of meeting “Frenchie,” played by Didi Conn. Didi was a total sweetheart and her voice is exactly the same.

I was also happy to meet members of the less-popular (but still fun) “Grease 2”

– Maxwell Caulfield (the “Easy Rider” himself)

and Adrian Zmed.

Both were very cool and Maxwell is always a class act. Even writing this article right now fills my mind with the soundtrack of the movie – I wonder if Keith wants to have a movie night tonight and watch Grease as we do more wedding planning?
