The Wonder Years Filming Locations! Visiting Kevin Arnold And Winnie Cooper’s House! Like A Step Back In Time!
“What would you do if I sang out tune?
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I’ll sing you a song
I will try not to sing out of key, yeah
Oh, baby I get by with a little help from my friends”
The Wonder Years… It’s one of the best shows ever on television. When I was a kid, I loved watched the saga of Kevin Arnold and his crush on Winnie Cooper.
When I found out that the show was streaming on Netflix, I was so excited. I’ve been binge watching it like a mad fiend worried that it is going to to get pulled at any second.
And then I thought… Where was this street? This street of nostalgia, where it looked like anywhere USA. So, immediately I thought… Lindsay (From the amazing I Am Not a Stalker Website) would know. She’s the master at filming locations and well… we had to plan a day to head down there.
So, on a cold rainy Thursday, we headed down. With the fear of wet hair and bad internet connections we GPS’d the location and arrived at Kevin Arnold’s street!
Lindsay and I got on youtube and played the theme song, because let me tell you, you can’t arrive at Winnie Cooper’s house without hearing the Wonder Years theme!
We went to Winnie Cooper’s house first and I’m so happy that the street looked pretty much the same as when the show was filmed.
The same sense of nostalgia and growing up. In fact, I just stood there in the middle of the street for a second, like I stepped back in time.
Winnie’s house which is located at 525 University Avenue in Burbank, looks primarily the same, which of course is something I love to see. It’s just so odd to think that for five years these two houses held so much adolescent emotion.
I was getting a bit choked up, I admit. Out of all the shows I’ve seen in my life, I don’t think there’s one that reminds me of being a kid quite like The Wonder Years.
After Winnie’s house we headed across the street to The Arnold House. It’s located at 516 University Ave. just like on the series.
Again, a few things have changed on the house, but for the most part it looks like it does in the series.
I had to get a photo sitting on the curb like in the starting of the show. I mean, you just have to right?
It’s so interesting that it’s been almost 25 years since the show aired an this street is primarily the same.
If you’re in the Burbank area I highly recommend checking the locations out, however keep in mind they are private residences, so don’t disturb the occupants.
Until next time kids…

I would love to see the floor plan because I think I can draw it . I hit pause on it so much. the one thing that confuses me is that when they entered through the back door they would come in from the left . But when they showed back of house you would see a door not one on side. when they would show people entering you could see out side when entering kitchen you could see straight to dining room which you could tell from looking on the outside of the house. I used to think they walked into a mud room then left into kitchen but scenes with outside confused me . I hope this is not confusing . I was a HUGE fan of show because it was my generation (I was 12 in 1968) and that’s the way life was and the way we used to think.I have been binge watching on Netflix also .
Kevin Hauck I wondered the same thing but I read that they used the exterior but replicated the interior on a sound stage so the probably just changed a few things about the inside….
