TTM Tues! Tips and Tricks! Plus Successes From The Stars Of The Nanny! Hope Floats! Dallas! And More!
I was talking recently with a fellow collector and we were sharing tips and tricks we have had to be successful (or try to be, at least). When sending a request for an autograph, I think it makes sense to make it as easy as possible for the celebrity. One of those ways is to include a photo for them to sign. While there are many ways to obtain photos- I like to print mine out at home using my HP 6940 ink jet printer (no, I am not endorsing HP but it is a GREAT printer!). I will, from time time purchase a photo from ebay- usually an official press kit photo like the one I just got and sent again (for the zillionth time) to my favorite, Miriam Flynn. I’ve yet to be successful with her in over 20 years. I am determined dammit!
I am picky af about the type of paper I use for printing photos and have found ILFORD Galerie Prestige Smooth Pearl Photo Paper to be at the top for quality. The photos come out looking great. I then use Krylon Aerosol Preserve It gloss spray to protect the photo before I send it out. I’d love to hear what photo paper you have used or other ideas for printing at home. Comment below. In the meantime- get out your photo paper, your printer and your stamps because this week the stars are aligned: Fran Drescher Shirley Henderson Tony Bennett Gena Rowlands Linda Gray Emily Osment Greg Louganis Eddie Cibrian |
