Well -hello out there in autograph world! It’s been a minute for TTM Tuesday. I started a new job, moved into a new place, and had a bad car crash last year. In spite of all this, my passion and love for collecting has not dwindled. In fact- when I was healing after the accident (with a brain injury) I found solace in writing to celebs and it brought me a sense of happiness to do something that has been a favorite of mine for close to 30 years.

With that being said, I am back, and while I cannot guarantee a weekly article, I will do my best to keep bringing you addresses and successes from your favorites. When it comes to autograph collecting- it can be very..VERY hit or miss. There are some who sign any and all autograph requests, there are some who rarely sign, and there are those who never sign. I have personally found some of the greatest successes by writing via venue- known as writing to a person who is at a temporary location (movie set, theater, concert venue,etc). And while this can be a tricky, and more failure than success option- when it happens, the successes tend to be incredible.

A few months ago, I wrote to Mariah Carey during her Vegas shows and she signed for me. I wrote to Elton John back in 2018 to a venue and he signed for me (after an almost 4 year wait). Steve Carell (who can be tough to get) just finished performing on Broadway, and he signed the “Office” photo I sent to him. On the other hand, I have sent many,many venue requests over the years and never heard back. It’s a gamble, but it’s worth it.

So, for today’s TTM, I am going to offer some upcoming venue addresses you can write to and see what happens. As always- please let us know the results:

Venue TIP: When writing to a celeb at a venue, try to send the request so it reaches the venue about a week prior to when the celebrity is performing. Good luck, and now lets get to writing!!
