TV Heartbeat! Season finale bonanza begins this week! A live Simpsons episode!

The next two weeks will be filled with lots of deaths, weddings and mysterious cliffhangers as the broadcast network season comes to an end!

Tonight is the “backdoor pilot” for Chicago Justice which means the producers are hijacking an episode of Chicago PD to test the characters and concept for a potential fourth show for the Chicago (Dick) Wolf pack. Carl Weathers stars as the new lead for this potential new show.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD promises to kill off a character in the season finale. It feels like there’s 20 people in the cast so let’s see who gets the pink slip.

The Simpsons will go where no animated show has ever gone before – it’s going live! This should be interesting as they will put Dan Castellaneta in a motion capture suit so he can improve Homer on the fly.

Castle fans are dying to see how they wrap up the season now that we know it’s coming back – but without leading lady Stana Katic. As shows age, everyone’s salaries increase and apparently they couldn’t afford both their leads anymore. Not so shiny.

Crystal Ball

Starz is full steam ahead on a second season of The White Queen. The next season, called The White Princess will also focus on the English War of the Roses, but with an emphasis on the women power players. They just announced that the excellent Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones) will be playing Margaret Beaufort who got her son, Henry VII on the throne which eventually ends the War of the Roses and begins the Tudor period. If you missed The White Queen, definitely go back and watch it.

Next week will be filled with all sorts of announcements about the next broadcast network season so all the bubble shows will finally know if they will be back or not. We’ll also start to hear about the new shows they’re picking up.

Fox has already made a few announcements including APB and TV versions of Lethal Weapon and The Exorcist (starring Geena Davis). APB stars Justin Kirk (channeling his best Tony Stark) as a millionaire who basically buys a police department to find who killed his friend.
