Netflix’s Grace and Frankie just got renewed for another season so the Jane Fonda/Lily Tomlin comedy will be back for laughs next year.

Wayward Pines debuted to meh ratings, but did well with lots of DVR playback. The a few DVR watchers must’ve liked what they saw since the show did slightly better in its second week. So despite the starry cast, the show isn’t hitting the huge numbers of last year’s limited event series, 24: Live Another Day, but the show seems to have some legs.

Meanwhile, Mad Men’s finale went out with a DVR bang and was the series’ most watched episode ever. The end of an era indeed!

The Shadowhunters series has just started filming! Based on the best-selling Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Claire, the new series will debut on ABC Family, possibly later this year.

The story focuses on Clary Fray who steps into a world of angels and demons fighting to save the world. If this sounds familiar, the first book in the series, City of Bones, was made into a moderately successful feature film starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Lena Headey, Aiden Turner and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. While the box office wasn’t strong enough to launch a film franchise, the film proved that the books are very cinematic and is now making the leap to TV.

McG (Chuck, The O.C.) will direct the pilot which stars Katherine McNamara (Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials), Dominic Sherwood (Vampire Academy), Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Matthew Daddario, Harry Shum Jr. (Glee), Maxim Roy, Isaiah Mustafa (the Old Spice guy) and Alan Van Sprang (Reign).

As with any adaption to a new medium, there are a few tweaks between the book and the TV show. First, the characters are a few years older (Clary will be 18 years old) and Luke is now a NYPD detective.

ABC Family was so excited by the series, they didn’t even wait to see a pilot. Instead, the show began filming the first episode last week so enjoy a few glimpses into Shadowhunters:
