Visiting The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter In Los Angeles! Hogwarts! Hogsmede! Butter Beer! And More!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter doesn’t open until April here in Los Angeles, but while at Universal Studios today there was a soft opening of the attraction and we were able to check out the new land sure to please fans of the films.
I have not seen the Orlando park, but the Los Angeles attraction, while not gigantic, is really fun.
Hogwarts looks amazing and it really does feel like you’re about to join Ron, Harry and the gang for a crazy adventure.
Of course we had to get some frozen Butter Beer.
In the queue for the main attraction, you’re taken through the grounds and then into Hogwarts itself.
The ride was really good, there were animatronic dragons, dementors, spiders and more. It was a crazy ride I’m sure you will love.
I didn’t get to check out the second ride as that one shut down early and we wanted to walk around a little bit.
We went on the backlot tour and saw the Desperate Housewives
and Back to the Future sets
along with the Mexico streets
Bates Motel from Psycho 2
Whoville
and the Great Outdoors house. All I kept thinking was… I wish our own Lindsey from I Am Not A Stalker.com was here to give me a proper historical tour of the lot. Sigh.
We headed back to Hogwarts at night because.. It’s Hogwarts at night. Hello!
And got a quick picture with Bart. You have to have a picture with Bart!
All in all it was great to check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter early and visit the park. I haven’t been there in forever. So much has changed!
It was a fun way to spend Valentine’s Day!
Until next time kids.
