Sandy… Can’t you see, you’re number one at the box office for the second week in a row! Gravity has been kicking some serious booty! I hear it’s amazing and I’m glad that she’s had so much success… Cough… Award Season q and a’s.
Tom Hanks did decent numbers with Captain Phillips as well.

Gravity had another stellar performance at the box office, claiming the number one spot for the second week in a row!! The sci-fi drama’s ticket sales dropped only 10% as it pulled in $44 million! The film has already recouped its $100 million budget and with $23 million in profit. Go Sandy!!
Captain Phillips came in at a very strong number two with $26 million.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is still gulping down ticket sales with another $14.2 million.
Machete Kills took the number four spot, opening at a mild $3.8 million take – much lower than its predecessor which opened at $11.4 million.
Runner, Runner stumbled into the number five spot after just two weeks in release for a total domestic gross of $14 million. Don’t give up your day job Justin.
Prisoners is holding at the number six spot with another $3.6 million, bringing its total domestic gross to almost $54 million.
Insidious Chapter 2 is still scaring audiences with another $2.6 million for the number seven spot.
Rush ran out of gas quickly and fell to the number eight spot. Its total domestic gross of $22 million is a far cry from its $38 million budget.
Don Jon clung to life at number nine with $2.3 million. Looks like saturating the internet with JGL did little to help ticket sales. What a shame : )
The indie comedy Baggage Claim rounded out the top ten with just $2 million.

Yo Suze!
You called this week wrong sexy fangirl. Glad for George and Sandy. Love the Grease reference. Tell me more, tell me more.
And F Joseph Gordon Levitt. I know I wanna!
Oh Susan, how I toiled away this week just waiting, just looking and longing to see your words glitter and glisten upon the screen. The incandescent glow of your sayings, foibles and ruminations makes me jump. I jumped! Oh, the happiness of Suddenly Susan is overwhelming, it’s like walking under a waterfall of cascading chocolate and milk ready to be mixed into a lather of candy coated folly.
Oh the folly of Suddenly Susan, the huntress walking the trail in the village and saying hello to the villagers and they say hello back and perhaps even a good morning. Oh good morning Suddenly Susan! Good afternoon and good day. I wish I could meet the villagers with you. We would dance… Oh Susan, we would DANCE! A hot sweaty dance of the ages. We could bottle the passion and send it through the miles.
Now Susan, I think we need to get real. I know you’ve been out of sorts, I can feel your essence yelling across the miles. The frustration is palatable. Do not fret, a new day is about to dawn and break through the crescent moon.
Listen to me. I talked with bunny and a hobgoblin. They wanted to eat marshmallow fluff and I said no, it will get in your hair. They agreed sadly and that’s when we jumped and did the dance for Suddenly Susan. I think I explained it before, but if you don’t remember just let me know. I did compose a new sonnet that I think I’ll share.
Sass is nice
Under every circumstance
Dance once
Dance twice
Even if you are sad and full of vinegar
Not if the vinegar is rancid
Lopsided and lost in the abyss
Yo Ho Yo Ho
Glorious good tidings and joyous laughter I want to sing, sing for Suddenly Susan!
