Box Office Breakdown! The Lego Movie Is Awesome At #1! Robocop Flops! Winter’s Tale Is Frozen Out!
I sit typing this amid a pile of tissues, cough drops, and cold medicine bottles. All add insult to injury, as I failed again at predicting the box office winner. The LEGO movie reigned supreme again with another $48 million, for an astounding domestic total of $129 million after just two weeks!
The romantic comedy About Last Night has Kevin Hart riding high again, as the reboot came in at number two with $27 million.
Roboflop, I mean Cop, our second reboot of the week, opened at number three with a dismal $21 million. Sony should have saved that $100 million dollar budget on something worth seeing.
The Monuments Men slipped to number four, earning $15 million to its already in the red total.
Endless Love, our third reboot of the week, opened at number five with $13.3 million. Alex Pettyfer is in need of a star making vehicle, but this was not it.
Ride Along came in at number six, adding $8.7 million to its hefty $116 million domestic total.
Sadly, Winter’s Tale opened at number $7.7 million. This little charmer is worth seeing, but you’d better do it quickly.
After 13 weeks in the top ten, Frozen is still grabbing ticket sales in the number seven spot, adding another $5.8 million to its $376 domestic total.
Lone Survivor remained heroic at number nine with another $4 million.
Rounding out the top ten was That Awkward Moment which took in $3.3 million.

The only blockbuster movie opening next week is Pompeii, which I see pulling the same numbers as Hercules, and that’s not good. I’ll go ahead and predict The LEGO movie taking the top spot for a third week in a row. Tune in to see if I’m right.
Until then, happy movie going.

Sickey Susan… not so suddenly.
Yo, da suze! Get better! We want you to have a winning week.
Robocop sucked. Winter’s Tale looked awful. Colin is yummy, love to lick on that for an hour.
Thanks Ryan – I need the well wishes. I feel like the walking dead right now.
