Wondercon Roundup! iZombie and Orphan Black! New Fan Culture Panels! The Thing Figures! And More!
Wondercon is coming!
Yep, the sister con to San Diego Comic Con is heading to Los Angeles and of course we are going to be there! If you’re coming and run into anyone on the MTF Team make sure and say hi!
A bunch of news is starting to come out about the con, so I thought I would do some quick recaps and share some news.
First up, while Wondercon is just getting their schedule going, one show is making the trek and that’s iZombie. The CW series has made an appearance the past couple years at Wondercon and I’m so happy it’s back!
iZombie star Robert Buckley shared the news on Twitter:

No official confirmation from Warner Bros yet but more than likely it’s a go.
Also, Orphan Black is headed back to Wondercon. It will be the Men of Orphan Black panel like last year. The news was also shared on Twitter which apparently is where all the news that’s fit to print gets shared these days.

The Toucan Blog is reporting that “Fan Culture” panels are going to be happening again this year thanks to the success of them last year.
From the Blog:
“Both WonderCon and Comic-Con added “Fan Culture” programming tracks to their schedules last year and they were a huge hit! WonderCon is once again offering a special track dealing with all things fan, from fashion to cosplay, from Star Wars psychiatry to science, from sidekicks to comic book courtroom drama (and that’s just some of Friday’s panels!) Here’s a preliminary rundown of all of these panels, which will be featured in Room 502, on Level Two of the Los Angeles Convention Center, all 3 days of the big WonderCon weekend. Exact times will be posted next week when the official 2016 Program Schedule debuts.”
And keep an eye out for some The Thing figures as Pop Culture Wrapped has announced that they will be debuting some new figures based on the John Carpenter classic.
There will be lots of new announcements coming soon, I’m hoping for a Supergirl panel or a Legends of Tomorrow panel.
