Wow, I was going to head out to the Captain America Premiere I really was, but then I figured why kill myself… I mean the El Capitan is a super hard venue and Chris Evans isn’t known to be a nice guy when it comes to autographs. So, I just figure it might be a good idea to stay home.
And I’m glad I did! CB on the other hand headed out, and… well… you can read his report after the jump!
Today I am writing about the Captain America premiere. Captain America: First Avenger is the newest Marvel comic book adaption, but more importantly, it sets up the future Avengers movie. This is a Disney movie,
(Editor’s Note: This is actually a collaboration between Paramount and Marvel. Disney bought Marvel. M-)
so the premiere will be held at one of the hardest venues possible, The El Capitan. For the last Marvel movie, Thor, a fan area was created. Unfortunately, the rumors of one being created for this premiere were just that, rumors. I had my Captain America mini Poster with me and I’m hoping to get the cast to sign.
(Editor’s Note: Mini Poster brought you to you by Mike The Fanboy! M-)
I also took stuff for the rest of the Avengers cast in case they show. Lets hope for the best.
4:00: I arrive, and just as expected, this venue sucks. You don’t know where to stand and they don’t make it possible for fans to get autographs.
4:30: I find a spot on the other side of the theater near the front. Mike calls me and i just tell him stay home.
(Editor’s Note: and I did stay home! lol… M-)
5:30: Since we are at the end of the line, all the guests have to finish press first.
6:00: First person I see is Jaimie Alexander. WOO! She’s very sweet and comes over to sign autographs and take photos.
6:01: Right as she comes over, I notice how bad the day is going to be. I have shields going over my head and people pushing trying to knock me down for Jaimie Alexander…..great….
6:05: Next person we see is Idris Elba..another Thor guy….He comes over and signs autographs.
6:25: Derek Luke leaves the carpet and comes over and signs.
6:30: Ken Choi is off the carpet and we yell for him and he comes over.
6:35: Neal McDonough leaves the carpet and he comes over to sign. He’s actually very nice.
(Editor’s Note: Neal is one of the nicest guys ever! Desperate Housewives! Hello! M-)
6:40: WOO! THE GOD OF THUNDER HIMSELF IS HERE…Chris Hemsworth. We chant for him and he comes over.
Screw Captain America, its THOR! I get him to sign my photo and try to get a photo of him before I got hit with a shield.
6:45: Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper and Sebastian Stan all go right into the theater, RATS!
6:50: Chris Evans leaves the carpet, and we yell for him, he’s about to come over, and his publicist pulls him inside.
6:55: We See Robert Downey Jr, we chant for him, but he goes inside…grr…
7:00: Stan Lee is off the carpet, we chant for him and he comes over and signs autographs.
The premiere ended and I got no one from the main cast, but I’ll gladly take a Chris Hemsworth over a Chris Evans any day of the year. Take care everyone.
