Breaking Bad Cast Signing! Anushika Meets Vince Gilligan! Bryan Cranston! Bob Odenkirk! Dean Norris! Autograph Goodness!

Awesome Anushika headed to the Breaking Bad DVD signing (which I’m very jealous of by the way) and had an amazing time. In fact, she got to meet the cast in attendance, including Bryan Cranston, Dean Norris, Vince Gilligan and Bob Odenkirk.

Room for one more? =D lol…

When Becky and I went to the RJ Mitte event, we also found out about a Breaking Bad cast signing at Barnes and Noble. Since it was planned on a late Monday night, I knew I wouldn’t be able to go. Sadness! =(  

As the date of the event came closer, I found more details about it and just couldn’t resist it. They were going to screen the documentary on the final season and were scheduled do a signing at B&N right after with Bryan Cranston, Vince Gilligan, Bob Odenkirk and Dean Norris! I mean come on!!! How can I NOT go???? I was torn, but finally gave in. lol… =D

I called Barnes and Noble, and they told me that we are allowed to form a line at 8am and wristbands will be passed out at 4pm.

The actual signing was at 9.30pm. These were unusual timings for B&N. I’ve heard some horror stories about some of the singings here, so I really didn’t know what to expect. I’ve never gone to any of them before, so I was hoping for the best. All I know is that they were really going to make us work for it, since the amount of wristbands were very limited.

I woke up at 4.30am and got ready to head out. I know call me crazy! It was so dark outside! O_o I couldn’t get myself to go out. Yes, a total wuss! I finally muster up my courage to step outside around 5.30am. I started walking. Everything was so quiet and still. I managed to take a train and a bus without getting killed and got to the Grove around 6.30am. YAY!!!! =D

I slowly walked up to B&N and didn’t really see anyone around. The place was decorated for the holidays. I LOVE Christmas!

I refused to believe I’m the only freak who would get here this early, and I was soooo right! Security moved the line to the street around the corner to avoid blockage. There were probably 15 people lined up and I hurried to the back to claim my spot.

WoHoooo!!!! ^_^ The fact that I could see the beginning of the line gave me hope. I think it’s safe to say I’m in! lol… =D

I brought my Sudoku book along to keep me company. The line grew pretty quickly. I’m pretty sure we had at least 150-200 people in line by 8am. Security came by and explained everything and gave us more details about the event. I totally appreciated them keeping us informed.

At 8am, they moved the first group of people closer to the store and pretty much told us that we are the guaranteed group and everyone else will be on standby. Yikes! I guess they really meant it when they said limited. I loved how the people in charge kept going up and down the line explaining all the details and answering whatever question we had about the event. They were very helpful and the security kept an eye out for people cutting in line. They were really on it! I was stressing out a bit since we aren’t 100% sure until we get the wristbands at 4pm, but security put me at ease. Trust me I’ve been at events where I start from being the 20th in line to 40th. So, I was already in love with the whole experience.

I made a couple friends in line. Always awesome to meet fellow fans to keep you company. We were all going to spend the whole day together anyways, so might as well make the most out of it! ^_^ I met a guy from Australia, who extended his vacation just to attend this event. He even got interviewed by one the Breaking Bad staff later on.

The wait went on and on and on….felt like I was on that side walk for days!!! Finally the clock struck 4pm!!!! We all got up and my butt was totally sore and my legs were numb from all that sitting lol…Anyway, they started to move the line. Our group finally got inside the store and we were extremely EXCITED!!!! I mean after all that waiting, we are FINALLY here!!!!! The store was decorated with huge money barrels and the mini money barrels were all lined up on their shelves behind the counter like a little army.

I got all giddy! I was so not planning on buying it, but after all this waiting and time, I would be a fool not to get it. So I GOT IT!!! =D

I bought my own little money barrel and a silver wristband.

They gave out silver wristbands for B&N members, so we could get in line first. I really needed it since I had to rush out right after. So yeah…to top this day off and to make it even more memorable, I had to run to work right after! Yay me! =D lol

I was so happy getting my hands on the barrel and FINALLY getting my wristband. Now I just needed to grab some food and go somewhere warm and cozy. The staff told us to come back around 8.30pm to line up. So I just decided to get some food and watch a movie. A great way to kill time. They were screening the documentary in the theater, but I didn’t wanted to risk being late to line up. Since I had to rush off, I wanted to make sure I was right up front. Even the theater was decorated with barrels.

Everywhere I go today…..Barrels! lol =D Love it! After the movie, I still had some time to kill. It was getting really cold outside and all of a sudden it started to snow! Fake snow of course, but still Awesome! ^_^

I head inside the store and they had everyone on standby lined up on the 2nd floor. I reached the 3rd floor and people were already lined up. I join in. I’m probably like the 20th in line. Not bad, not bad at all. Now we are just all waiting for the cast members to arrive. This wait is killing me. The staff asked us to take our barrels and DVDs out of the cases, so they could move the line fast and smooth. We wait some more…

All of a sudden we hear cheering as the cast walks in. It was so hard for me to see anyone since the place was crawling with media and being short and being behind bookshelves certainly didn’t help. lol Anyway, YAY!!!!! They are FINALLY here!!!! I see Bryan, Vince, Bob and Dean all taking their seats on the table. The media going crazy and it’s like 4th of July! Flashes everywhere!

The line started moving and I try my best to take some photos, but fail. There’s way too many staff and security around them and as we got closer, they asked us to put our phones and cameras away.

Oh well, I tried! They were moving everyone pretty fast.

The lady took my barrel and passed it along. It’s funny how my barrel reached the table way before me. Bob Odenkirk was first in line. I said hi to him and was about the shake his hand. Security said no and Bob was like, sorry they won’t let me lol… =D

I’m like oh, its ok. He asked me my name. I said Anushika, and he look at me funny and said hmmm….that’s interesting! I really didn’t know what to say to that, so I just smiled at him.

Dean was next and it was pure chaos since everyone was talking at the same time and so many people!!! I think I just barely managed to say Hi and Thank You to the rest of them since fans from behind were already yelling and talking to them. Not the perfect one on one experience, but it was still fun! =D

I totally loved it. Really wished I had a moment to really say something to each of them, but I understand that they were trying to move things fast to let in as many fans as possible.  I’ll get my time someday. There’s always next time! ^_^ The cast was super nice and they were interacting with all of us throughout the entire time. I can’t thank them enough!

Security gave me my barrel and I pretty much walked out holding it like a ticking time bomb lol…I did NOT wanted to smudge any of the graphs. I loved how they all used different pens. It looks so pretty!!!! My dad was already waiting for me outside. I rushed to work. God only knows how I survived those 9 hours at work, but I did!!!! All in all, it was an INSANE day that turned into one AWESOME night! Now I just need Aaron Paul on it. I HAVE to get Pinkman on it!!!!
