It’s cold, I mean damn cold… I mean damn damn cold.
I wasn’t sure I was going to head out on the cold arctic tundra here in Los Angeles but yet, here I am and I dragged Scotty along with me. I would like to point out, that you shouldn’t listen to me. Apparently, when I think something is going to be easy and fun, it turns out to be a pain in the ass and freezing cold.
Today, Star-Lord AKA Chris Pratt is on a talk show premiering the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I thought it was going to be lined up and fairly wasy. When we arrived, I saw that the barricades were set up but not secure and it was shaped like an “L” ugh…
Chris was already inside and quickly Catherine Zeta-Jones arrived. She strutted down the barren ally like it was a runway and promptly went inside.
And now we wait… and wait… and wait… and wait… It was so cold. So so cold. It was like the wind was a knife and it was slicing through my skin. Listen, I’m in Cali we’re thin blooded but it’s cold here nonetheless.
As time ticked on by, the barricade moved, it stayed, people pushed in, cars came by and all the while all I wanted was a space heater. That and perhaps a thicker jacket with heated insulation. Mmmmmmmm insulation.
Catherine Zeta-Jones had her car pick her up at the door and zoomed off. Damn. It was so fast we didn’t have time to properly chant!
And now… We continue to wait… I’m thinking of starting a fire for warmth. A large fire. A burning, burning fire.
Oh look drunk people are showing up now… NICE! I love talking to drunk people.
Finally, out come Chris Pratt, he comes right on over and is very nice.
He did a few photos, signed and was trying to take his time. Then his publicist said, “We’ve gotta go.” Then… it was madness.
My nice calm day turned into a bit of a cluster.
But Chris Pratt was very nice. I was able to get three things signed, some of them… Not the best autographs, but still signed right?
Starting this website has been a labor of love. I love sharing my fandom experiences but more than that I love hearing everyone else’s stories. I love hearing about conventions, movie locations, meet celebrities good and bad, I love it all.
I sincerely hope you enjoy my exploits, the adventures of everyone who submits an article, and all the members of the Fanboy Family!
Without everyone who writes and reads MTF there wouldn’t be a site. This is truly for the fans, by the fans!
