Manic Monday! Meeting A Ghostbuster! Dan Aykroyd Crystal Head Vodka Signing! Autographs! And More!
How can you not love Dan Aykroyd? He has been in so many amazing films. Besides Ghostbusters, there was The Great Outdoors, Trading Places, etc… there were so many awesome films. How can you not love him?
For this weeks Manic Monday, Pinky is out of town and so I thought I would take over for her.
Check out the recap below!
I have to tell you, I saw a sign earlier this week that said Dan Aykroyd was going to be doing a signing on Halloween at the local Costco. I was so stoked! I saw Jack’s recap of meeting Dan Aykroyd and how awesome he was. I love Dan’s movies, and have so much stuff for him to sign.
Thinking no one else would care, I didn’t do the round robin, and man… I was wrong! Chris, Pinky, Susan, and Lindsay (from I am not a Stalker) all wanted to go. Who knew! Everyone wanted to meet a Ghostbuster on Halloween! And how could I blame them?
When I arrived, the car from The Blues Brothers was parked out front! How awesome is that!
I took my place in line and then was joined by Pinky and Keith, and Susan.
The signing started at one but Dan was about 15 minutes late so sadly, Susan had to take off. I did tell her I would get her a signed bottle which is what she wanted.
Doh!
Still there was time for selfies!
Susan left and then Lindsay arrived!
Lindsay dressed like Kelly from Saved by the Bell for Halloween and looked adorbs! How cute is she?
There were about 30 people in line in front of us and we wait.
I have so much stuff for Dan, it’s not even funny, I have mini posters for The Coneheads, My Stepmother is an Alien, Grosse Pointe Blank, and Spies Like Us. Plus, I have an original Dragnet video store mobile.
Thankfully, Lindsay graciously agreed to take a couple things and Ms. Pinky herself is taking a poster of mine as well. Woo!
Chris brought a couple cool fedora hats to get signed.
The Crystal Head Vodka is available in two packages, one larger skull for around 80 and a set with two shot glasses for 40. Not bad.
There were a lot of Ghostbusters in line, but no Dana’s! DOH!
The line moved fairly fast and pretty soon we were in the front.
Pinky and Keith went first and met Dan, who was super cool.
Pinky got my Spies Like Us mini poster signed, and then the luscious Lindsay was next and got a fun photo with Dan as well. She was cool enough to get my Grosse Pointe Blank and Coneheads posters signed.
And then it was my turn!
Dan Aykroyd was super cool. I talked to him for a second and told him what a huge fan I was and how my father used to watch all his films with me.
My dad loved the SNL comedians, like Dan and Chevy Chase. Dan posed for an awesome photo with me and then signed by Dragnet mobile and my My Stepmother is An Alien mini poster as well. I love that movie!
I also got my vodka signed as well.
It was really a fun event and super rockin’!
Chris go both of his fedora’s done too!
Afterwards we went out to the Blues Brothers car and took a bunch of photos in front of it.
I can’t tell you how awesome it was to meet Dan Aykroyd and on Halloween no less!
It’s always fun to hang with friends on a holiday… And meet a Ghostbuster to boot!
Until next time kids!

But did you get a bottle for Susan too?
He needs to make a NorCal Costco run
Why didn’t he come when I was in town? Whine whine. I would of liked vex to meet him. I remember watching ghostbusters on Christmas when my in laws were there. At least I had some laughs then! Lol
Thanks for asking Katie- yes, Mike was nice enough to get one for me and Dan even personalized it. Would have been nice to meet him and get a photo, but you can’t win them all.
