A Man Actually Just Dangled A Baby Over A Ledge For A Vancouver Canuck Player To Autograph
How far would you go to get an autograph from your favourite hockey player? It’s not unusual for fans to ask their sporting heroes to sign specific pieces of memorabilia for them, perhaps a team jersey, or a poster, or even a hockey puck! However, none of these things would have been enough for one Elias Pettersson superfan, who asked the Vancouver Canuck to sign his actual baby! Naturally, Canadians had something to say about it.

The California state senate unanimously passed a bill that will allow students to be compensated for use of their names, images or likenesses. The bill would not allow schools to directly pay athletes, but would permit students to receive compensation from outside sources — for example, from a video game company or for signing autographs or memorabilia. The bill is now sitting on Gov. Newsom’s desk and has 30 days to be either signed or veto’d.

Fans gathered at the Salt Palace Convention Center Friday to meet “Spider-Man” superstar Tom Holland.Photo ops with the star were being sold for a price of more than $200. In fact, the FanX website said it cost $225 for a photo and $225 for an autograph. Both of those were sold ahead of the FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention, which ran from Thursday through the weekend for three days and had between 80,000 and 100,000 in attendance. The official price for Holland’s photo was not listed.

Cowboys’ DeMarcus Lawrence Refuses to Sign Autograph for Young Giants Fan (UPDATE)
After DeMarcus Lawrence refused to give a kid an autograph, the fan has received a signature from the New York Giants’ Saquon Barkley instead. Lawrence was making his way to his bus following a recent Dallas Cowboys game against New York, and when a kid in a Barkley jersey asked for an autograph he was told, “You need the right jersey.” Hearing about the situation, Barkley managed to track down the kid in question and get him a signature after all.

An accidental celebrity autograph collection
In the last decade, I’ve somehow developed a celebrity autograph collection. It started when I was working at this newspaper and had a man by the name of Jim Parker stop by the office in 2009. He introduced himself as the Vegas Vampire, a character he had created for a Las Vegas TV network who served as the host of the show airing B-grade horror movies.
