Whew! What a year 2023 has turned out to be! The nominations for the Oscars are finally in and there were a lot of shocks and surprises!

Margot Robbie got shut out for Barbie? Once considered a front runner for best actress, she didn’t score a nod at all… And the same goes for Gretta Gerwig! The director of Barbie got snubbed in the best director field for the comedy. However, America Ferrera got a nomination for supporting actress?

Annette Benning got a nod for Nyad, which while not shocking was a surprise in the crowded field.
