Hi guys, thought I would like to do an introduction of myself, since I am new to this page, my name is Daniel, I’m 18 and I live just outside London,United Kingdom. I thought it would be cool to let you know about the latest celebrities that I meet, especially those who live across the pond!
Here we go, just got in on Thursday from university and thought that I would do my daily checkups on the social networks, when I came across a friend who notified me about the Arnie book signing, I was like OMG, where is it? where? I have to tell you, I am a huge fan of Arnold and am a huge fan of Kindergarten Cop, my favourite movie of all time. So I decided to do some researching on the latest upcoming book signings and then I found it, Waterstones Piccadilly Circus,10.30am,15/10/12. I just had to go to it, my best chance to get my favourite actor and there won’t be many chances to meet him in the United Kingdom.
After speaking to a few other collectors who are going, I heard that there are going to be 200 people who are going to be allowed to have their book signed and there is a mass amount of people going to queue overnight! Seriously, I’m not one for queuing overnight, so I decide that I am going to set my alarm for 4.30am! and get a 2 hour bus journey! a long trip but one that I definitely need to make!
4.30am- My alarm goes off, I feel like crap, only had about 4 hours sleep, but I’m excited for the big day ahead.
4.50am- Get on the first bus of the two that I have to get, seriously there are people heading to work at this time in the morning, bit too early for me I think, trying not to fall asleep on the bus…
6.20am- Arrive at Waterstones Piccadilly, there’s people with their tents and sleeping blankets here, God they were brave, its freezing, I couldn’t have done that, I see the queue goes around the corner and past the coffee shop. I must be 60 odd in the line, not too bad, but I expected to be further back that this to be honest!
7am- Notice another few collectors that I speak to in different parts of the queue, have a brief chat with them in order to past the time, you just gotta love book signings…
8.30am- Waterstones staff are coming around giving wristbands to everyone in the queue, wish they would open the shop, its freezing out here, have some consideration for us outside lol.
9.30am- Finally, they’ve opened the store, surely a shop should be opened earlier than this?
9.40am- We all queue up in order to purchase our book, £20? it was advertised as £12 online, but I have to pay the price, especially as it isn’t much to meet my favourite actor, we then all get back in the queue after purchasing our books.
10.30am- This really cheesy music is getting on my nerves, come on Arnie, where are you? I could do with getting back to my bed after this…
10.45am- I hear big cheers and……….HERE HE COMES!!!! TERMINATOR! THE GOVERNATOR!!! ARNIE!!!…………he comes in and shakes everyone’s hands, he seems very cool and happy to be here, now for the paps to take their damn pics with him and the book.
11.10am- OMG, I’m next in line, Arnie is signing like a machine,
shame there wasn’t any pictures with him allowed and it was only one book signed per customer, but I’m glad I’ve finally got to meet him,
Arnie fastly signs my book, says hello and then I’m off…
What a great day, met my favourite actor and got his autograph, might not have been the best circumstances that I could have got him in, but who would turn the chance down to get their favourite actor in a once of a lifetime opportunity?
Until next time folks…….
Daniel

Handshaking? Guess he is still in politician mode! I met him once when he was leaving a restaurant so a picture is all I could get. Congrats!
Welcome Daniel – great write up and so happy when other people get to meet their “most wanted”. Congrats!!
Welcome to the madhouse Daniel!!!! WOOT! Book signing, my favorite 😛
Looks like a good time.
Mike told me to say hi and welcome…yes…he has a gun to my head….
The C.B. welcomes you to the awesome family that is MTFB! Can’t wait to see more of your stories. I too attended one of his book signings and he is one of my favorite actors. I remember the excitment i had when i got his autograph at the Expendables 2 premiere. I can relate to seeing your icon for the first time. Do not let what others say, I loved Kindergarten Cop. I so want to have a ferret as my mascot! The C.B. wishes you the best in all your future events and I can’t wait to read them all…which is funny, since I don’t read articles, I merely stare at them until i get the information i want ala Jack Bauer…he taught me that, true story!
Cheers,
The C.B.
