Box Office Breakdown! It’s A Fantastic Flop As Fantastic Four Crashes! Mission Impossible Remains Number One!
Mission Impossible 5 stayed top gun taking the number one spot for a second week in a row with $29.4 million.
Fantastic Flop, I mean Four opened at number two with a dismal $26.2 million.
The Gift was unwrapped at number three with an impressive $12 million opening.
Vacation hit the road at number four with $9.1 million.
Ant-Man was repelled at number five with $7.8 million.
Minions were obedient at number six with $7.4 million.
Ricki and the Flash hit a sour note, opening at seven with $7 million.
Trainwreck was off track at number eight with $6.3 million.
Pixels hit a low score at number nine with $5.4 in its third week of release.
Rounding out the top ten was Southpaw who was down for the count with $4.7 million.

I’m going out on a limb for next week and predicting that great word of mouth will propel The Gift to number one (it’s a personal hope too – this movie is awesome).
With The Man from U.N.C.L.E. as the only competition, it’s a reasonable guess. Tune in to see if I’m right.
