Arrow And The Flash Paleyfest 2015 Panel! Stephen Amell! Grant Gustin! Colton Haynes! John Barrowman! And More!
Paleyfest, the annual pop culture craziness that invades Hollywood ended it’s run last weekend and I was on hand for the Arrow and The Flash panel. I would have had this up earlier but this was a rough week.
I had the passing of a friend which was very sad.
The panel opened with the cast of Arrow. Pretty much everyone showed up including Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, John Barrowman, et al.
The panel was great, mainly due to moderator Aisha Tyler keeping everything lively and John Barrowman who was very funny.
Things revealed in the panel, Felicity is going to cross over with The Flash again, she will have a nemesis on the Flash played by The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney.
Oliver is going to be changed forever at the end of this season and next season we’ll see a more introspective hero.
John Barrowman joked that Malcolm Merlyn would have rather had Oliver as a son rather than Tommy.
The League of Assassins came up and Stephen Amell said that “It’s an offer in name only, If Oliver says no, there will be dire consequences.”
Audience questions ranged from the “can I get a selfie” to a rather crass comment to Willa Holland that her character was a stick in the mud for two seasons.
Once the panel ended, half the audience rushed the stage much to everyone’s shock, the look on the panelists face was horrific.
It was a mob scene and prompted an announcement that they were allowing the panelists to sign for a few minutes before ushering people off.
I was able to get Colten Haynes on my Arsenal poster and Emily and Colten on my cast poster. Thanks to a friend in the audience.
Then we were ushered back to our seats for the Flash panel.
The panelists for The Flash were, Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Candice Patton, Rick Cosnett, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, along with executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg.
Everyone really tried to make sure and not reveal any spoilers, Grant was charming and once again Aisha Tyler did a great job moderating.
Andrew Kreisberg mentioned that there was a big storyline from the comics they were going to do, which a lot of people think is the Flashpoint storyline, which involves time travel and the dire consequence of it.
They mentioned that they hope to bring in Wally West to the series at some point as well.
Audience member questions ranged from adorable children in full Flash gear, to the normal Geek-esque questions.
After the panel the madness that ensued before happened again. This time the cast of the Flash had more time to cover and once again thanks to my friend I was able to get most of the cast on both posters.
It was maddening to say the least, but everyone in the cast really did try and cover a lot of ground, or at least half of the stage.
Until next time kids…
