Box Office Breakdown! Little Mermaid Swims To Number One! Fast X Sputters! And More!

The Little Mermaid swam to shore, opening at number one with $117 million. Fast X, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie all held their respective spots on the chart. The Machine failed to operate, opening at number five with just $5.8 million. Newcomers about My Father, Kandahar, and You Hurt My Feelings all opened on the charts within the top six. Rounding out the top ten was John Wick: Chapter 4.
