Throwback Thurs! Meeting Kesha! Concert Photos! Selfies! And More! #FreeKesha

This was such a fun day, and with everything Kesha is going through right now, I thought it would be a perfect Throwback Thurs!

Kesha sounded so good on the Billboard Music Awards, and I so wish all her legal issues were over for her sake and so that we can get some killer music once again!

I have really started to fall in love with Ke$ha. I know a lot of you are going to groan when I say that, but I love my pop music, and I’ll tell you… One thing I love about Ke$ha is that she is who she is and doesn’t put on airs.

Well, last night I was able to attend a press conference with Ke$ha as she premiered her new line of watches with Baby-G. Actually, Ke$ha is a “Brand Ambassador” for Baby-G and along with prepping for the launch of her second album Warrior, due December 4th, Ke$ha is debuting a touch and trendy watch to suit her sensibility.

During the press conference Ke$ha talked about Baby-G’s donation to Humane Society International which is Ke$ha’s pet cause helping to end cruelty to animals worldwide. She called herself a Street Dog Defender helping dogs left on the street to find homes and become rehabilitated.

Answering a few questions Ke$ha said that she would love to write a song for Beyonce just like she did for Britney. During the writing process Ke$ha said, she tries and lives like she is the person she’s writing for, so when Ke$ha wrote for Britney, she got to live like Britney Spears for a couple days.

Ke$ha also said she plan on dressing up like a penis for Halloween. LOL…

After the conference, I was able to meet Ke$ha for a hot second and get a photo with her. She was adorable just like I would expect and had no problem stopping for a couple of us.

Then it was time for the concert. Everyone at the conference was invited to a private concert at the El Rey theater put on by Baby-G and Ke$ha.

The El Rey is an amazing venue and I’ve probably seen a hundred concerts here. I will say none have been as elaborate as Ke$has!

Opening with We R Who We R, Ke$ha came out dressed like a Arabian princess flanked by her shirtless dancers.

This was the most elaborate stage show I have ever seen at the El Rey, flanked by a video screen, smoke and lasers, Ke$ha rocked the stage and got the crowd pumped from start to finish.

During the 45 minute set, Ke$ha’s dancers acted out a “Cannibalistic” slaughter, Ke$ha mock ate a human heart, two people dressed like giant penis’s danced about and there was a pseudo marching band. Not bad for a short set!

The final song, Tik Tok got the crowd singing along and for the encore Ke$ha played her new song Die Young which was amazing live. Judging by the crowd attending the show they felt the same way.
