Flashback! Los Angeles Comic Con 2023! Suddenly Susan Has A Blast At The Yearly Fan Event!

With Los Angeles Comic Con heading back early December, I think it’s always fun to look back at the fun of previous years. Suddenly Susan had a blast at this years con and really made the most of her time there!

Check out LACC’s website for 2023 ticketing info!

Los Angeles comic con has to be one of my favorite conventions to attend. They’re able to get the big-name celebrities but the show itself feels more intimate and the floor is much easier to maneuver. Plus you can attend a panel without waiting in line three days ahead of time.

Speaking of, I was able to catch the panel for Futurama. It’s one of my favorite animated shows. Guests included Jeanette Lim, Patrick M. Verrone, Jake Wallace and Cody Ziglar. They talked a lot about the ups and downs of the show and how it’s been canceled and renewed and renewed and canceled. They left the audience, guessing whether or not they will come back in 2023!

In the autograph area, they had big name stars such as Will Wheaton, Ming, Na, and Elijah Wood.

Child to adult star Scott Grimes was also in the house. Scott is always a pleasure to chat with and he takes a lot of time with his fans. I told him how I did background work on E.R. when I first moved to LA and we had a chuckle about how we technically worked together 20 years ago.

There was a nice array of props and replica automobiles from famous films. I actually find the vendors here to be a bit cooler and unique compared to the big San Diego Comicon. I found a few Funko pops I’ve been searching for and got a good deal on them. I also found some smaller keychains and figurines to put in friend’s Christmas stockings.

I happened upon a walking, moving Grogu! He was just casually waddling between the replica R2-D2 models from Star Wars. He’s so adorable! There were plenty of other Star Wars droids rolling about the floor during the weekend. You never know who you’re going to see.

For the first time, I saw a booth for Enso Rings. They’re super cool and unique. The owner custom carves Star Wars metal rings. The detail is amazing!

I also found a vendor who makes travel posters based on fictional movie locations and cities. I bought two for my cubicle at work.

Lastly, the cosplayers were in full swing, including a flash mob of several Spider-Men. I can’t wait to see what the convention goers come up with next time. Looking forward to another great weekend with LA comic con.

See you all in 2023!
