Magic Mike Movie Premiere Kinda Disaster Report! With Channing Tatum (kinda)! Matt Bomer! Alex Pettyfer! and… That’s About It!

Today is a day I have been looking forward to for a long long time. It’s the Magic Mike premiere! Cue the strobe lights and neon music. I need my own soundtrack.. lol… Anyway, I have a couple Magic Mike mini posters a pocketful of silver pens and a whole lot of hopes for this one! I mean the cast is incredible, Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer and Joe Manganiello! I mean damn… LOL… I’m prepared for a long long day… Ugh…

10:10 a.m. – I just arrived and it’s already packed, so packed in fact that even though the Other Mike has here a half hour earlier then us we’re still at the end of the barricade about 25 people back. ugh… And there was so Indian parade that just went by… Odd…

10:45 a.m. – My hopes are starting to get crushed… Ugh…

11:09 a.m. – My friend, who is awesome, was nice enough to get Matthew McConaughey on my first Magic Mike poster. He actually wrote out his entire name as well as Just Keep Living which he usually abbreviates. Needless to say I now owe her a burrito and a back rub.

11:34 a.m. – There is just so much jockeying for position going on. There are enough people that a second line is forming even through there isn’t a barricade. Ugh… These Girls… They’ve Gone Wild!

11:49 a.m. – Scotty drove with me and he’s trying to figure out spaces and stuff… Billy is here as well as Frank and also Scotty. Whew…

12:12 p.m. – Billy went to watch the soccer game and The Other Mike went to get food so Scotty and I are watching the spaces..

12:34 p.m. – Oh crap! Security is bringing the barricades in… Dammit! I called The Other Mike and I was like… Get here now, people are crowding in cutting people off… Man… Crazy…

12:41 p.m. – The barricade set up is done and we have pretty much our same crabby spaces… Ah well… But we did lose a section of our saved space. Grumble!

1:09 p.m. – Scotty and I are starving so Frank and The Other Mike are holding down the fort while we adventure for food in the recess and bowels of downtown los angeles.

1:34 p.m. – Mmmmmmm salsa….

2:23 p.m. – Okay we’re back. Scotty is now making a couple signs.

2:43 p.m. – I have to tell you i’m all about the signs lately. They just help so much!

3:09 p.m. – Scotty is the fastest sign maker in the world. I mean he can whip up a sign in four seconds flat.

4:09 p.m. – The set up is not very cool looking… It’s eh…

4:32 p.m. – The Girls have really gone wild. I mean wow… There is a group of girls fighting with another group of girls and they are about to throw down. Like throw down…

4:45 p.m. – One group of girls looks like a Benneton and the other group look like a set of unfortunate Kardashians.

5:09 p.m. – Man, this should start soon!

5:11 p.m. – Billy is sleeping and we are putting a soda cup with a giant hair on it next to him. See, we’re bored.

5:23 p.m. – They have set up a second barricade because so many people have flowed over. Oh, this could be bad…

5:33 p.m. – Fuck my life. They just set up a new barricade and everyone rushed over there who was behind us all and grabbed prime spaces. Seriously! This sucks!

5:45 p.m. – Well, it looks like it should be getting underway soon…

6:23 p.m. – Or maybe not…. Oh first drop. It’s Adam Rodriguez. He’s coming over and just taking his time with the entire crowd.

6:39 p.m. – Adam Rodriguez is at our section and Scotty gets a pic and he signs. I didn’t get him on my poster since he wasn’t pictured.

6:41 p.m. – Oh, there’s Matt Bomer! I love Matt! He’s super nice to all his fans. And once again he’s taking his time going down the line.

6:53 p.m. – Matt is coming our way and he switches to silver and signs both of my Magic Mike mini posters. I have to tell you the pushing for Matt is incredible.

It’s like crazy times… People are going crazy…

6:55 p.m. – Alex Pettyfer is dropping and he’s coming on over as well. So nice. he’s signing up a storm and taking his time…

7:05 p.m. – Alex Pettyfer is closer.

Scotty gets him on my V-Man magazine and then I ask him to switch to silver.

He signs my poster in his dying black pen and then switches to silver and resigns the first poster and then signs the second. Really nice.

7:08 p.m. – Joe Manganiello just arrived and has crossed. he signs a few but crosses back over.

He doesn’t even come close to our section… Grrrrrr…

7:10 p.m. – Matthew McConaughey is here now… He comes right over and signs as well. I’m hoping that he’s going to sign for the line.

7:14 p.m. – Oh, Matthew McConaughey is coming our way, but what the fuck he’s skipping our entire section. Dammit!

7:16 p.m. – Channing Tatum is here, he’s coming over and signing and signing and…

and he wow… Channing Tatum has skipped our section as well… Dammit!

Well, I have to say, for the what, 10 hours I spent I don’t think it was worth it. I mean you know… you have to take the good premiere’s with the bad premieres… I get it. But it’s still disappointing… I heard that Channing Tatum yelled at people and said, I’m only going to take photos for the real fans. Wow… Okay, what can you do right? Sigh… What can you do right? I suppose you have to show up at the crack of dawn now… Man…
