Ace Meets Sin City Director Robert Rodriguez! From Dusk Till Dawn! Desperado! Machete! Photos! Autographs! And More!

Once Upon A Upon A Time in the Sin City we call Los Angeles… Robert Rodriguez was out for a special appearance…

I think he is just an amazing action director and musician. I had a ton of posters in my possession that I had to get signed…

While I know some of you may laugh, the Spy Kids franchise was a kid craze when we were younger. I remember talking about the movie in school with friends. They were so cheesy and fun, it was almost impossible for us to refrain from watching the next one.

Now, before you readers start… No… The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D are not included within this excerpt of fandom. I am trying to erase it from my memory…

Regardless, as a fan of the Spy Kids series it opened the door t0 the world of his work as well as the work of his artistic collaborator, Quentin Tarantino.

We arrived about ten minutes after the event started and waited patiently for his arrival. We assumed he would arrive about 45 minutes into the event to make an appearance. As we were waiting, several other cast members walked by us. One of the greeters ran up to us to say they couldn’t sign… I said, “We don’t even know who he is…” to express my lack of caring…

Sure enough, shortly after, Robert Rodriguez rolled on up, parked himself, and walked over. The moment he saw us he walked towards us. He was super nice and asked how we were…

He took his time and signed everything we had… He went back and forth in between posters. No two posters were the same. It was the first time I was prepared for him.

Robert Rodriguez Signed 11 x 17

He took photos with those that asked and headed in…

Such a nice experience… Only wish everyone could be like him.
