xXx: The Return of Xander Cage scored at number two with a $20 million opening.
Hidden Figures made the grade at number three with $16.2 million.
Sing celebrated at number four with $9 million.
La La Land lost a step at number five with $8.3 million.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story landed at number six with $7.03 million.
Monster Trucks stayed in line at number seven with $7.00 million.
Patriots Day lacked national support at number eight with $6 million.
The Founder was lost, opening at number nine with $3.75 million.
Rounding out the top ten was Sleepless with $3.70 million.
