They’re two of Hollywood’s most popular stars.
So it’s not surprising that Matt Damon and Emmy Rossum made quite the splash on Wednesday at the Los Angeles International Airport, appearing to be arriving at the same time by coincidence.
Both stars were separately bombarded by autograph seekers while riding an escalator to the baggage terminal.

Rik Mayall died this morning at the age of 56, a beloved comedian and actor known for, among other things, his penchant for profanity.
Aside from the obvious classic Young Ones quotes, this was famously exhibited in a letter he wrote to a fan back in 2008.

Cedar Lake resident James Miller beamed with pride as he told his 10-year-old grandson and namesake that he saw Cubs pitcher Milt Pappas pitch in person and witnessed his no-hitter on television.
“I’m a big Cubs fan and I’m glad I get to share this experience with my grandson because I used to watch Milt pitch and he was always one of my favorites,” said Miller. “You have to know and appreciate the history of the game, because these players were so impressive.”

Beverly Hagen and I have come down with a case of sticker shock over the price of a Hank Aaron autograph.
This happens to me a lot for the price of most things. My wife says I should always double my first guess for what something might cost, and then I’m usually still low.
Beverly was hoping to get Aaron’s autograph on a 1957 Milwaukee Braves pennant she has had since she was a kid. Admitting to naiveté, she thought that a long wait in line at Waukesha Sportscards is the price she would pay.
The real cost: $349.

“These are not real, though,” Kanye West recently told a fan when presented with a pair of the rapper/designer/overall creative’s Air Yeezy sneakers to autograph. (In the video, he seems to be finishing autographing them as he’s saying this.)
