Box Office Breakdown! Wonka Was Pretty Sweet At Number One! The Hunger Games Fights Back! And More!
Wonka was pretty sweet, opening at number one with $39 million. The Hunger Games fought back and held on to the number two position with $5.8 million. The Boy and the Heron and Godzilla Minus One each dropped down a spot on the chart from last week. The remaining box office was mostly unchanged, save for Poor Things which rocketed up from number 17 after a wider release and critical praise. The Shift rounded out the top ten.
