D23, is the annual Walt Disney convention that happens every couple of years in Anaheim. Suddenly Susan, The Scott Files, The Novel Strumpet and I headed over to check it out.
I admit I’m not a Walt Disney junkie like a lot of people are, but I like a lot of the Disney properties. Plus, who doesn’t love a good con?
The convention floor was light on people and it wasn’t packed like I’m used to at say… SDCC. Still people were bustling around and there was an hour and a half line to get into the Disney Store. Damn…
The different booths were pretty cool. The Pirate ship from Once Upon a Time made a second appearance on the floor (it was at comic con before). For the second time I still didn’t make it through. LOL.
I went over to the collector’s corner and they had some cool stuff. Suddenly Susan was debating about buying this awesome Empire Strikes Back print. Let me tell you, it was cool. I also liked the life size iron man…. I’m just not sure I have room in my office.
There were signs pointing the way to each of the Disney Parks…. hmmm Which way to go?
We stopped by the Journey Into Imagineering booth. It was pretty cool as they had a bunch of different things that they were working on.
The coolest thing at the booth was the full size R2-D2 robot. It was so cool, I can’t wait to see it in action.
There were some great original models on display from Epcot and other Disney attractions.
There was also the prototype for the Avengers Academy which is going to be neat.
There were several different booths, one was animatronic and that’s disturbing to me. I hate animatronics. Shudder.
Suddenly Susan pointed out the C3PO prototype mask on the shelf.
We had to stop by the Hallmark Booth to look at the new ornaments which is always fun! I love The Incredibles ornament.
And then we walked by the Jelly Belly booth where an artist was making a jelly bean art poster.
They also had several different displays including Planes, Star Wars and More!
And who could resist getting a photo of two awesome Fangirls!
And that is it. I’ll have a little more from D23 later on as well!
Until next time kids…
