Like an old west cowboy, Netflix has swooped in and saved the day!
Longmire fans rejoice!
After A&E cancelled the popular series in a surprise cancellation, Netflix has indeed stepped in and is bringing back the show for a fourth season on the streaming network.
Fans took to social media and made their voices heard, something I support with all of my heart. One thing that fans can do now, in the digital age is really express themselves in ways that are unprecedented.
Longmire, led by Katee Sackhoff and Robert Taylor will be back for a 10 episode fourth season that will debut in season 4.
Erica talked about this in this weeks TV Heartbeat, but now, it’s official.
Longmire is based on the mystery novels of Craig Johnson and is a contemporary crime thriller, set in New Mexico.
Netflix is becoming known as a television savior of sorts for cancelled series looking for a new home and is a perfect outlet being as many of those series are already on the service.
Netflix rescued The Killing for a final season as well earlier this year.
It was surprising that A&E cancelled Longmire since it was the highest rated show on the network with 5.6 million viewers on average for season 3.
Congrats Longmire fans!
