The Producers Guild of America has just released their nominations for the best picture of the year as well as best animated film of the year. It’s an interesting crop, led by the usual award season suspects like Hidden Figures, Arrival, La La Land, Hacksaw Ridge, but there was one interesting wrinkle… Deadpool!
It’s a pretty awesome addition if I do say so myself.
Some notable snubs: Martin Scorsese’s “Silence,” Jeff Nichols’ “Loving,” Clint Eastwood’s “Sully” and Pablo Larrain’s “Jackie.”
