Welcome back to Billy Beer’s Bar Stool. Today we are off to the Premiere for the next DC Universe film Wonder Woman. Now usually I only take days off for Marvel Premieres, but when you have the chance to get the beautiful Gal Godot, you make exceptions. Time to take my invisible plane to Hollywood and try my luck.
I get there early (as always). They haven’t set up too much, but luckily my friend Kevin was able to see the set up. We put ourselves where the drop is supposed to be and wait it out. As time progressed, more and more people showed up. There is a fan section, but it’s a bunch of bleachers and we probably have a better show where we are at.
While we’re waiting I notice one of the security guards kicking someone out. I guess someone didn’t know how to behave at previous premieres and is getting banned from future premieres. LOL!
I don’t think you guys want to hear about waiting anymore, so let’s get to the drops. The first few drops are ladies that play some of the Amazons. Let’s just say these ladies don’t miss leg days! I get them on my poster.
Next to arrive is the Original Wonder Woman Linda Carter. Of course my dumb ass forgot to print for her and of course she goes down most of the line L
A skinny guy comes out of the next limo. I freak the F*** out cause it’s Ewen Bremner AKA “Spud” from Trainspotting. You never see this guy! He looked at me spazzing out and came straight to me. He signs my Trainspotting picture and took a selfie. I had a hunch he would be there. Glad I bought my stuff for him!
A couple of DC TV Universe people show up, Caity Lotz and Candice Patton. Sadly they do not come over. I guess it’s a good thing, cause it would have distracted us from the next arrival Wonder Woman herself, Gal Godot.
Things just went bat-shit! She came straight towards us. I was lucky enough to get the second graph. There was NO opportunity for selfies, but she was certainly signing. I usually don’t leave my spot, but she kept going down farther and farther. I grab another photo and make my way down. It was only one deep the farther you went down. I was able to stick my picture out and get another one.
I try and get back to my spot and what happens, Gal comes back. Sadly I was unable to get through the crowd into my spot to get another one. I’m still happy with the two.
Chris pine was next to show up. He was nice enough to go down the line and scribble whatever the heck he scribbles with no care of where he’s signing. I got two, but he seriously signed over JJ for the second straight Star Trek poster I own.
Next on the red carpet was Elena Anaya. I really didn’t have anything for her, which was fine cause she started on my left and kept going left.
Only two more big names, and Robin Wright was the next to drop. Now I LOVE House of Cards. Plus she has been in some of the most iconic movies ever! As You Wish! I have never gotten her, so I was hoping for good things. Like many of the other cast members, she starts practically right in front of me. For some reason though, she’s skipping my photo. It might be cause she had a black pen, and the image was mostly black. Finally someone yelled and point to her to sign the photo and she did. I didn’t think she would do much of the line, but she did a good chunk. I could have moved, but I decided to wait for Connie which for sure was to be the next car.
Then out of the blue I see Danielle Panabaker. She is nice enough to come over and take a picture.
Finally Connie shows up. She follows suit and goes down a good chunk of the line. Again, I don’t bother to chase and good thing I didn’t, cause I looked up to the fan bleachers only to see Ray Fisher. We call him over and he’s super cool taking pictures and signing autographs.
It ended up being a great day and a great premiere. Didn’t get everyone (Lucy from the original office also went the other direction), but I got what I was hoping for! Until next time!
