I’m a huge fan of the 1980’s and one person who is synonymous with the 1980’s is Dan Aykroyd. He’s not only a Ghostbuster but Doctor Detroit as well.
Dan Aykroyd had a free meet and greet in Marina Del Rey and the first 100 people in line got to meet Dan Aykroyd and get a photo with him.
I met up with Scotty and Big Mike and we got in line and waited. I was also able to spot XX Will, Lisa, Courtney, and even Jenna who made sure I saw her at this event.
I was also able to meet Richard as well.
It was a big old gang!
When the event started they said no autographs, but Dan Aykroyd didn’t mind and signed for everyone.
As the line moved we were told only two things each. Apparently people were getting like 10 things signed before us.
Thankfully Richard only had one thing and was nice enough to help me get my Doctor Detroit poster done.
Dan Aykroyd was so nice. We chatted about Trading Places for a minute and he was more than happy to sign my mini poster as well as a Coneheads poster for me. He was so nice and made sure that everyone left happy.
After we were handed one of the Ghostbuster speciality shots, that were actually pretty good.
I ran into Lisa who didn’t have anything to get signed so I gave her my Ghostbusters (2016 version) so she could have something.
And then when she was done, she decided to get a flyer for the event signed and got my poster back and didn’t want it. Awww, that was so sweet!
After we all hung out for a bit and grabbed some salsa. On the way over we spotted Dan Aykroyd posing with a couple Blue Brothers cosplayers and their custom built car which was awesome. He even signed it for them!
It was a real treat to meet Dan Aykroyd and see a bunch of friends!
Until next time kids…
