Manic Monday! Pinky Recounts Those Summer Nights After Meeting The Cast Of Grease! John Travolta! Olivia Newton John! And More!

How can you not love John Travolta and Grease? I mean it’s one of the best films ever and John Travolta is a legend. I mean besides that film, there’s Look Who’s Talking, Urban Cowboy, Blow Out, Pulp Fiction, and now the People Vs. O.J. Simpson! which is amazing BTW…

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy-Coogan here still in awe that I was finally able to meet Danny Zuko himself, John Travolta. I couldn’t believe it!

As long as I can remember, I’ve been watching John Travolta perform. From his early days on Welcome Back, Kotter as one of the “Sweathogs,” to his amazing performance in Grease, and even his most recent stint on The People vs. O.J. Simpson, there is very little of John’s work that I haven’t seen.

I mean, even if I’d only seen Grease (which I’ve watched approximately 198 times in my lifetime so far), I would be in awe of John. I love that film and I love him. I’ve always wanted to meet him and before recently, I’d only seen him once in person.

Of course, it happened to be at a premiere after a bunch of media scrutiny, so it was one of the few times he didn’t greet the entire line of fans. As I’ve always heard how great he was to fans, I was looking forward to a time when that was the case again. Thankfully, I had my shot at a recent For Your Consideration screening of The People vs. O.J. Simpson, which Mikey talked about previously. Knowing how in demand he was, I didn’t know how he’d handle the throngs of people wanting his attention after the Q&A. But, wow, just wow! He was a champ! I haven’t seen anyone spend that much time with the fans in a long, long time. He went up and down the stage taking his time, signing items, and posing with anyone who asked. I actually got two pictures with him since my first one was blurry (I was probably shaking with excitement).

So impressive! With the addition of John, my Grease cast is coming along nicely! Considering how much that movie means to me, getting to meet any of the cast (let alone a majority of them) is really, really special.
