Monsterpalooza 2014! Suddenly Susan Braves The Annual Horror Convention! Costumes! Cosplay! Props! Gore!
Monsterpalooza was this weekend and Suddenly Susan headed out to check in on the horror convention. Who doesn’t love a good con right? I enjoy Monsterpalooza and sadly I couldn’t go this year.
Rest assured that there tons of things to check out. I’ll let Suddenly Susan give you the full recap!

The best part about living in L.A. is that there is truly something for everyone, and usually a convention to commemorate it. The 2014 Monsterpalooza , “the Art of Monsters show” was in town this weekend and I decided to check it out.
I mentioned to a co-worker that I planned to go and they said, “I didn’t know you were into horror”. I’m not, really. I like a good scary movie, and I love me some Walking Dead, but I’m not a fan of gore. If that’s the perception of this show, then that it is way off target.
Monsterpalooza is for anyone who enjoys movies.
The make-up and special effects showcased at the show were amazing!
There were so many artists with original concept art, sculptures, and chotchkies at every corner.
There were mind-blowing homemade costumes at every turn as well as movie memorabilia, unique jewelry, Goth inspired purses, and almost everything a creative mind could come up with and turn into a reality.
If you had the scratch, you could even purchase some incredible movie props straight from Star Wars, Gladiator and more.
You could also have a makeup session complete with full latex application done by an Academy Award winning artist.
And, our friends at Killer pumpkins were also at the show. Check out their amazing website when you get a chance http://www.killerpumpkins.com/ They have super cool original art, shirts, light boxes and even night lights!
Check out all the photos I took from the show:
