Skyfall Star Daniel Craig Sorta-Success! Proving That James Bond Can Sign Autographs Faster Than The Speed Of Light! Doh!
It really is a Skyfall weekend here at MTF! LOL….
Well, there are successes… and then there are sorta-successes… lol… I say sorta simply because whoever the celebrity is, they were nice enough to come over and sign and greet the crowd but the signatures… Well… They are pretty much crap. Doh… See, since I keep all my stuff I would rather go out seven times for the same person to get seven nice autographs. I can get 20 things done and if they are all ugly crappy signatures well… It’s just not really worth it to me.
Daniel Craig was on the promotional trail promoting Skyfall and did a talk show appearance. And… Well… I’ll let you read the rest… LOL…
6:41 p.m. – I just arrived. I’m late. I wasn’t going to put too much time into this event simply because I knew there would be tons of people here and I didn’t want to leave work early and Friday traffic… Ugh… The Other Mike and Scotty are here in their respective places in the mosh of people.
6:47 p.m. – The door is opening and Daniel Craig has arrived! He waves but is super late so he runs in.
6:53 p.m. – I’m just chilling, talking to some folks making fun of Herman for always bringing out these giant posters to get signed. Where does he put them? I need to know! I picture a house with giant posters hanging from the ceiling like a haunted house maze. “Where do I go, how do I get out?” Only to hear in the distance… “Make a right at Bella and Edward…”
7:01 p.m. – I kid…
7:06 p.m. – Billy just called and wants me to yell to C.B. to make sure he has Billy’s Skyfall poster and to tell C.B. to turn his phone on. So, here I am yelling over a crowd of people… Only me!
7:19 p.m. – I’m just hanging by the fence like a hooker. It’s good times.
7:26 p.m. – I only brought a couple things… My The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo mini poster and my Skyfall mini poster. I know Daniel is hit and miss but in settings like this he’s pretty cool. Plus I hear that Skyfall is awesome!
7:35 p.m. – Oh… Oh… There he is… Daniel is coming right over before anyone even shouts to him…
And he’s whipping down the line, and I mean whipping… He signs super fast; I can already picture the autographs just being scribble…
I mean he is really flying down. There are about 50 people here and I think he’s trying to get to everyone. He signed my Girl with the Dragon Tattoo mini poster and then my Skyfall mini poster and continued down the line…
I ran around trying to get some pictures but it was so hard… I think he made it down the fence and to the crowed in under 70 seconds.
Damn… I knew James Bond was fast but I didn’t think he was this fast! LOL… The signatures are really bad… I don’t even think I got a “D” on my Skyfall poster! Doh… The sad thing is… I have such nice Daniel Craig’s from before… lol… The Other Mike didn’t even get him. He’s a tad bitter. It was really nice of Daniel to come and sign but I’m looking at my stuff going… Well… Should I try and find new posters to get them redone… lol…
That’s when I label something as a sorta success! 😉

Wow…yeah that’s a tough one to swallow and label a success or fail because he did come over. I hate when they come over, but at least it’s better than Keira Knightley’s “line”/ mark she does.

I admit you didn’t put too much time but you know by now that too many people mess with this venue and 99.9% of the time you’ll get crap.
To me the scribble that Craig gave out that night would actually “ruin” any kind of Bond piece that I have in my collection. I have gotten way better from Mr.Craig in the past ( and at a screening the other night ) and in much lower key situations. Also wasn’t it freezing that night? TOTALLY not worth getting sick over. Glad though that you still get kick and have fun at these type of events. More power to you! Damn I’m getting old! Lol.
That’s not a contradiction… You can go out and get someone one on one and their signature could be crap. Who knows? I’ve gotten some AMAZING autographs even rushed at this venue.

Going to a venue is not a contradiction. I had no idea HOW he was going to sign or even if he would. Lord knows I didn’t expect that signature. And it wasn’t cold, trust me I talk about the weather enough, if it was cold, I would have mentioned it. lol
