Throwback Thurs! The Avengers Movie Premiere! Chris Hemsworth! Chris Evans! Joss Whedon! Samuel L. Jackson! Stan Lee! Jeremy Renner! Scarlett Johansson! Clark Gregg! Jon Favreau!Autographs!

Endgame opens friday and I thought what a perfect time to do a flashback to the original Avengers premiere. This was a blast. And everyone was so nice!

Man, this is the day that Fanboy’s everywhere have been looking forward to, it’s the World Movie Premiere of Marvel’s The Avengers! So… I would say stoked but it’s going to be a long day and could potentially be a disaster. Erica, CB, and the other Mike are already on the scene and we have three different spots. We are trying to figure out which one is best…

11:23 a.m. – Okay, so we have three spots and the set up is hyper confusing… We are three barricades in and it kind of looks impossible…

11:39 a.m. – Well, we just asked around and it seems like the third barricade will be moved so if people want to sign then they can. I guess we shall see…

11:54 a.m. – So far the weather has held off… That’s good. It was projected to rain all day, and I’m praying that God loves Fanboys today. lol…

12:09 p.m. – We really have no idea if this is going to work out or not… sigh…

12:34 p.m. – Erica is holding a spot farther down the line, the other Mike and I have the second spot, and Billy Beer and CB are farther down. lol… Trying to keep your bases covered is tiring.

12:49 p.m. – The carpet is tented due to the rain. Which of course is understandable. I tell you it’s odd… Monday great weather, Tuesday it’s fine, Wednesday RAIN, Thursday it’s awesome, Friday awesome… Killing me!

1:08 p.m. – Erica went to get sandwiches…. Mmmmm food.

1:18 p.m. – Now, security has made a large strange pen inside the tent… Man, it’s just the oddest set up I have ever seen!

1:23 p.m. – Erica and I are surmising that it’s a fan pen, but I think that’s wishful thinking…

1:39 p.m. – They are setting up lights inside… That pen must be for overflow press…

2:09 p.m. – Billy just gave CB “Avengers” themed noisemakers… Great, give CB toys when we have to wait 4 more hours….

2:12 p.m. – I destroyed CB’s noise maker and threw it into the street. It was justified.

2:25 p.m. – Thank God we have a good group around us otherwise this would be hell… HELL!

2:49 p.m. – Speaking of hell there are some protesters here telling us all about Jesus… God bless them…

3:09 p.m. – It’s really starting to fill up now, it’s about four people deep. I’m expecting a crush if anything does happen…

3:34 p.m. – Security is testing the drive for Robert Downey Jr. AKA Tony Stark. His car is going to drive all the way in and then leave near the exit.

4:21 p.m. – I’ve been standing all day, and honestly I’m super tired. I’m getting too old for this shit lol…

4:24 p.m. – Scotty just showed up!

4:23 p.m. – Oh, the second barricade is going away! YAY! We are in good position now!

4:33 p.m. – I can see CB trying to get his one sheet ready down by the palm tree…

4:45 p.m. – I would like to take this moment to thank the Lord Jesus for holding off the rain and giving us a beautiful day to stand behind a barricade on Hollywood Blvd.

5:02 p.m. – I’m feeling better about our chances now… This is good!

5:17 p.m. Holy crap… Security just pulled out the second barricade and made a walkway… IN FRONT OF US! We are so screwed… WTF Marvel!

5:23 p.m. – Everyone is complaining… What the hell man, they made across the street inaccessible with a double barricade… and now… we get screwed… For a huge “fan” movie like this you would think that the studio would make it more fan accessible.. grumble…

5:34 p.m. – Oh, and now they are hand picking 25 people for a special fan pit inside… I’m going to throw up, I’m so pissed. We have been here all day and then get screwed over for the fan pit. What the hell man…

5:45 p.m. – And no one is willing to even make an opening in the barricade, security keeps saying, “I’m checking” Plus to make matters worse you can’t even open the barricade by lifting one section up. They are all joined, so you have to literally open every single barricade to get in. Sigh…

5:51 p.m. – And now security put a giant construction sign in the front so no one can even get in to the walkway. It’s like they hate the fans at this premiere. And security/Disney doesn’t give a crap. Man, that’s just… Wow…

5:59 p.m. – The consensus is that we need one super cool person to arrive… Once they break the seal, then we should be okay…

6:09 p.m. – It looks like the first arrival is here!

And it’s… It’s.. Holy crap it’s Stan Lee! Everyone goes crazy! He waves and we hear him go, “Okay, were do I start..”

Security is like… Uh… and tries to open the barricade and can’t… Like we told them… Then we tell security that the one over here is easiest to get open. They try and get it open and finally they have to almost break the barricade down. It was literally like Stan Lee was one of his cartoon creations and took Thor’s hammer and busted the barricades down for the fans. It was amazing! Amazing!

6:10 p.m. – Stan Lee comes over and just signs and signs..

I got him on my Avengers mini poster, and I wish I was a little smarter because I would have had him sign my Iron Man mask… I was just so shocked with the barricade and all… lol…

6:12 p.m. – Oh crap! There’s Mark Ruffalo! He says, “should I start at the end?” But he comes to us first.

I got him on my mini poster and he also signed my Comic Con Hulk promo poster as well. Mark is hyper nice and was signing up a storm.

People were pushing so much for him, and honestly he’s the easiest to get, lol… Mark heads down the line and tries to take care of as many people as possible. I’m shocked the crowd is going as crazy as they are over Mark, lol…

6:16 p.m. – Mark just finishes as another car pulls up… Holy shit it’s Scarlett Johansson! She heads to the end of the line and says she is going to do the full section. Good Lord…

6:17 p.m. – A car is pulling up, it’s Jeremy Renner! All the Avengers are arriving back to back.

Jeremy is taking a minute and then heads to the end of the barricade Scarlett just finished at…

6:18 p.m. – Scarlett is signing up a storm but is really doing one each.

She’s trying to limit everything. She comes our way and I tell her how much I loved her in We Bought A Zoo. She says, “Aww that’s so sweet!” She signs my mini poster and then keeps heading down the line.

6:19 p.m. – Renner is signing as well and heading my way. Holy shit! Samuel L. Jackson just pulled up!

Samuel says hi to Scarlett and Jeremy and then goes to the end of the line and starts to sign his life away…

6:20 p.m. – Jeremy Renner comes to us and signs my mini poster and then I asked him to sign my Mission Impossible 4 poster and he was like, “Awesome!”

I have never seen Renner be this nice! Wow… This is totally incredible! This premiere is rocking!

6:23 p.m. – Samuel L Jackson is taking his time and is very kind…

He is signing up a storm as well. I got him on my Mini poster and my Comic Con promo mini poster. Whew…

6:25 p.m. – Oh crap, there’s Chris Evans! He gets out of the car and comes right on over to us!

I have him sign my mini poster and try to get him on a GQ magazine but he’s again trying to make sure and do one each. He’s really cool though and really personable to everyone.

6:28 p.m. – Clark Gregg and Jennifer Grey just arrived.

Clark runs over and signs for us.

He’s skipping around… Clark signs my mini poster and my comic con mini poster as well… Man, this is pretty amazing…

6:31 p.m. – Everyone is being so cool…

6:32 p.m. – Oh, another car… It’s Chris Hemsworth! Wow, I hate his hair… It’s pulled back in a samurai looking thing… ugh… Chris is so awesome to the fans though. He comes right on over. He starts on the end and continues down.

6:33 p.m. – Scotty has my Thor promo movie box and gets Chris to sign it for me.

6:34 p.m. – Clark Gregg is back by us again, man he skipped around! LOL…

6:35 p.m. – Chris Hemsworth is signing his life away down the line… Man, oh man… Chris signs my mini poster and then my comic con art poster as well.

By some miracle I found my Snow White and the Huntsman mini poster as well and asked Chris to sign that. Chris was like, “Oh, cool!” and comes back and signs it for me.

Dude, Chris is so nice!

6:39 p.m. – Joss Whedon and Cobie Smulders are here… Both come over but start in the middle of the barricade and head down the other way. Damn…

6:41 p.m. – They are signing a hell of a lot, lol… Joss is heading back this way and is trying to hurry as they are pulling him in. He comes to us, and then skips my poster and says only one per person man… I was like I didn’t get anything else, but Joss is gone.

I asked his publicist, I said, “excuse me, I think Joss skipped me but I didn’t get anything else. I couldn’t lie to the man who made Buffy.” She said, she would get him back. But by this time Joss was really far down the line. So this nice woman takes my poster and brings it to Joss to sign. I thanked her so much. How awesome was that?

6:43 p.m. – Jon Favreau just pulled up. he’s a producer on the film. He runs over and signs and signs. I got him on my mini poster as well. It’s really starting to fill up! LOL…

6:45 p.m. – Tom Hiddleston is here! There are a group of girls who came just for Tom.

They are going crazy and Tom is really taking a lot of time with them and going down the line. He even poses with a sign they made for him.

6:47 p.m. – By the time Tom is near us they are pulling him. I actually got the last autograph from Tom which by this time just looks like a line, lol… Ah well.. He’s on it!

6:51 p.m. – And finally Tony Stark arrives in his Iron Man car with SHIELD agents. He waves at the crowd and pulls all the way into the carpet.

6:52 p.m. – Robert Downey Jr. then comes out and waves at everyone. He comes over to the line and signs probably five autographs and then says, “that’s it.” Man, compared to the others Robert didn’t do hardly any at all.

Still, I can get Robert at another time. Getting almost the full cast at a premiere is rare, let alone a cast like The Avengers has. It’s pretty damn incredible. I’m super stoked, super tired as well… lol… But this was… Man, it was fucking awesome!
