It’s Throwback Thurs! 

So, with Annabelle: Creation opening this weekend, I thought a perfect throwback would be The Conjuring premiere!

This was a crazy fun day! Lili Taylor!

It’s hot, traffic sucks, and I’m heading out to another premiere. Just a normal day in La La Land! Today is The Conjuring premiere. Now, okay… Here’s the thing, I have a poster for the movie, but my whole focus today is Lili Taylor. She’s amazing, for one and two I’ve been a huge fan for years.

Mystic Pizza, I Shot Andy Warhol, Dogfight, Six Feet Under, etc… She’s amazing. I’ve never seen her out and both Scotty and I have wanted to meet her for years, like since I’ve been collecting. LOL…

Also on the docket today is Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson and a few others.

4:12 p.m. I just arrived and Scotty ran to get poster board. Honestly, I figured that there wouldn’t be many people here today but low and behold there’s like 25! The list isn’t stellar so… Wow… Okay… Thankfully, this is a pretty decent group and everyone is pretty cool.

4:23 p.m. – The carpet’s pretty basic. It’s a decent set up, so God willing we can get people to come over.

4:34 p.m. – Scotty is making a poster for Lili Taylor, we need her to come over.

4:36 p.m. – Scotty should be on some kind of art show, he can make signs like no one’s business. He’s seriously amazing. Me? If I tried that it would look like a demented elk tried to draw!

4:41 p.m. – Billy is very angry about the sign and is glaring at Scotty. He wants that sign. He put on his angry eyes.

5:09 p.m. – Ace is here and wait for it… He took off his black hoodie. Seriously, took off the black hoodie… I’m shocked… I’m happy because it needed to be aired out. Seriously… It needed to be aired out…

5:34 p.m. – It’s hot… Damn hot..

5:39 p.m. – The sign is up, we’re in place, let’s get this show on the road!!

5:54 p.m. – The press is in their pens… Arrivals start in six minutes.

6:11 p.m. – Okay, people are here… Tons of people in fact. We can’t see shit. LOL… Doh…

6:23 p.m. – Scott Foley is here. We’re calling him over and he comes over to sign. He’s so nice.

I have my Scream 3 mini poster for Scott and he’s like… “Wow, you guys are prepared!” lol… He’s really cool and goes down the line. Nice!

6:34 p.m. – We’re waiting and waiting… honestly, not much is happening except we’re yelling for people in the movie and no one is coming over… Doh…

6:39 p.m. – Patrick Wilson ran into the theater but now he’s back. Honestly people are darting here and there and back again. It seems like a pretty disorganized red carpet. LOL…

6:41 p.m. – There’s Lili Taylor! Ahhhh… She’s taking photos and then doing an interview, so odd the way they are doing this carpet!

6:43 p.m. – Patrick Wilson is running over now. He’s really nice.

He said one each. And then signs my Hard Candy mini poster, then he sees my Watchmen picture disc and is like, “That’s so cool!”

He signs that as well before running down the line. Ace got five. Lord… lol…

6:46 p.m. – Shanley Caswell is coming over.

I got her on my Conjuring mini poster. She’s very nice and said “These photos are not going to be worth anything.” lol…

6:49 p.m. – Joey King and Kyla Deaver are coming over together. Joey is signing but goes around the corner and we miss her. However, Kyla Deaver comes our way so I got her on my Conjuring mini poster.

6:52 p.m. – Lili Taylor is on the carpet… And okay, I probably should have Billy tell this part because… Well… It’s sort of a blur… But Lili Taylor is pointing to the door and saying she has to go in. And we keep yelling… Then she stops and poses for another photo. We’re all freaking out now, and chanting and then chanting doesn’t end. I don’t think Lili Taylor has gotten this much attention in her entire life. She sees the sign and finally relents and comes over. Scotty ad I completely fan out over her.

I think there was quoting of Mystic Pizza and begging to get everything signed. I have my Mystic Pizza mini poster as well as an I Shot Andy Warhol mini poster as well. And my Six Feet Under cast poster. And my DVD… It doesn’t end. LOL… Lily signs my Mystic Pizza mini poster and then my I Shot Andy Warhol mini poster,

then I ask her to sign my Six Feet Under poster and she says “Sure” and the keeps missing it and thanks to everyone yelling she finally signs it as well.

I think she really appreciated the fact that we are huge fans. It really was really cool. So stoked even though her autograph isn’t the best, lol… I knew what it looked like, lol… I’m just really happy.

6:55 p.m. – Oh, there’s Vera Farmiga! She’s coming right on over. I told DVD Dave we should do double or nothing on our bet. Me betting that Vera wouldn’t come over and him betting she would. I would have lost again. Totally worth being a loser!

Vera signs a few in the front including my Up in the Air mini poster.

I told her how much I love Bates Motel and she thanks me before heading off. I think she signed about 10 or 15 maybe.

So overall… A pretty successful day! I’m pretty damn happy, I have to tell you! I can’t wait to hear what Billy has to say about Scotty and I tripping out… But you have to do what you have to do sometimes in this hobby right! It was worth making a fool of myself! I’ve wanted Lili Taylor for so long and today FINALLY I got her! Of course now, I’ll probably see her 15 times in the next three weeks, lol… #fanboyproblems
