Welcome back to Billy Beer(ed) Barstool!  Today we are at Comic Con in hopes to see one of the coolest casts around, Sons of Anarchy.  I have been lucky enough to get the SOA drawing 2 years in a row, and this year we’re hoping for 3 (let’s be honest, you know I got it, I wouldn’t write an article then)  For being one of the biggest shows on TV, the cast is still great to their fans.  I’ve seen different cast members a number of times, and it seems like each time they will either take pictures or sign autographs.  Now the only bad news, was Charlie wasn’t going to be there.  I’ve heard a number of reasons why, but it did put a little damper on things.  Also, they were going to be signing the same poster as last year that had Ron and Maggie still on it, and obviously, they weren’t there.

So back to the drawing.  There really wasn’t a lot going on Sunday, so if I didn’t get this, there wasn’t much else.  While we’re sitting in line, we are told that because not everyone got to go through the American Horror Story Line the day before the people who had a ticket for that got a guaranteed SOA ticket.  Crap!!!  That just cut the number of available tickets in half.  Would have been nice to know earlier! 

Fanboy drew right in front of me.  Sadly he drew a loser which didn’t make me feel good about drawing myself.  Well, the Comic Con gods were with me today, cause out came a yellow piece of paper with a Sons of Anarchy written on it.  Now I felt like shit cause I was the only winner of the group, but since everyone else had the hook up for The Strain, I didn’t feel as bad.

MONTAGE!

I get there on the early in case the same thing happened at SOA as did at American Horror Story.  There are a million people hoping for standby.  When they finally move us up, there were almost 20-30 people that I didn’t see in line.  I guess Fox workers got to invite their friends to the signing too and got first dibs.  UGH!!! 

When I finally get up there, it was everything I was hoping for.  The cast was super cool with everyone! 

Kim and Theo were the first two, and they were drawing things on Boone Jr’s face. 

When I got to Katie she was nice enough to sign a toy the Fanboy had given me also.  I told her I was at the CD signing, and she really seemed to like that. 

Then Kurt signed next, drawing a symbol right over Ron’s eye.  We joked about him not being here.  Then I looked at Katie and asked where Maggie was?  The guys got a kick out of that and started making jokes themselves. 

Finally we get to the end where I see one of my favorite actresses Drea De Matteo.  She’s got a bigger role in this last season which I’m really excited about and tell her.  I tell her what a fan of hers I was when she was on the Sopranos, and that I even watched 2 full seasons of Joey.  This cracked her up to the point she even repeated it.  But the said, compared to some of the crap on TV right now, it wasn’t that bad of a show. 

Finally I got to Boone Jr, who’s beard I am extremely jealous of.  He was yucking it up with everyone.  Then my time was done.

As soon as I got out of the line, there were at least 3 people offering to buy the poster.  I politely declined.  If all I need is Charlie, I should be able to get him some day again.  Well, this was my last signing.  I had decided that I was going straight to the bar after this, and that is what I did! 

Comic Con, you gave me some ups and downs, and deprived me of a lot of sleep, but I gotta go, It’s happy hour somewhere!!!
