Fanboy Fail Friday! Emma Thompson? Awesome! Colin Farrell? Amazing! Tom Hanks? Ass! Doh!
Welcome to Fanboy Fail Friday!
Bam!
This week just like in years past at this time, there are a lot of q and a’s going on. Tonight is a Q and A for SAving Mr. Banks with most of the cast present.
The first person to arrive was the delightful Emma Thompson. Nice as ever she said, “I’m not in the best of moods, so only one each guys.”
Pinky really nailed how awesome she is. Seriously, I love her even more. If you haven’t read Pinky’s article check it out.
Emma was so gracious and signed my Saving Mr. Banks mini poster.
The next arrival was one of my favorites Mr. Colin Farrell. Once again Colin is so nice to everyone. He comes right over without hesitation.
I don’t get him on my poster simply because I didn’t have it boarded and didn’t want to throw it over anyone. It’s fine. I’m just always happy to see Colin. I’m a dork.
Tom Hanks? Ran in without even a wave.
BJ Novak arrived and he was super nice as well.
Taking photos with people, signing, etc… I hear he’s not always cool, but today he was very nice.
So, everyone being in we waited the 30 or so minutes. Tom Hanks runs out, we are literally five steps from him and he gives a half hearted wave while jumping into his car.
Emma Thompson, she signed, redid Pinky’s photo and proved how awesome she really is.
Jason Schwartzman who didn’t even get dropped off in the same spot, heard people were waiting and walked over from his car!
It’s fascinating that Tom Hanks always plays the good guy, but he’s just not that nice in real life.
Until next time kids…
My buddy Hanks signed at last night at a screening Of Captain Phillips with only 4 people. I have always said he is not a crowd person and with close to 30 people there I didn’t expect him to sign. You may still have problems getting him but I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.
Um, jon, I met tom hanks one on one and he was biggest asshole ever! I’ve honestly never heard one good thing about the guy!
Same here….. I haven’t heard one good thing about him he comes across as america’s nice guy but really it’s a act. Maybe maybe one day you might emphasis on the might get him to break down and sign but that’s like Natalie Portman signing it’s very, very rare.
I also found Hanks to be less than friendly
