Throwback Thurs! SDCC! Marvel Madness! Captain America! Chris Evans! Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.! Orphan Black! Samuel L. Jackson! 7th Son! Jeff Bridges! Autographs And More!
Back in the day, things were so much easier to navigate at Comic Con. It’s a crazy place that’s for sure. And since today, I didn’t get any of the exclusive signings and I’m still depressed about it, I thought it would be fun to flashback to a somewhat simpler time a time when you could get something at SDCC.
I will say, while I’ve always had fun at comic con. 2013 will always stick out in my mind. It was the year I was able to get the cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, along with The Seventh Son cast, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Haley Atwell, and more!
All in one day. Pretty epic right?
Check out the recap below!
The Saturday of Comic Con… You know… It’s always the busiest day. Seriously, it’s nutty at times.
This year, once saturday hit, I was bushed and decided to sleep in a little and avoid some of the craziness. Friday was quite literally go, go, go and I needed to take a step back.
So.
I got some sleep…
And then I ran like hell out of my hotel and to the 7th Son autograph signing.
I met up with Billy Beer there…
But needless to say it was awesome. A little nuts but still awesome. Legendary did a pretty god job getting everyone lined up which was a miracle but overall… It wasn’t bad.
the signing was great and everyone was super nice. Jeff Bridges was awesome as usual, as well as Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington.
After the 7th Son, Erica and I ran over to the Marvel booth.
We were lucky enough to be able to get into the Agent Carter autograph signing with Hayley Atwell.
Erica did a great recap of that here.
It was a fun signing and the poster is badass!
That signing ended and Erica and I did a little wandering around the floor.
We did see some of the awesome props on display at the Legendary Booth.
It’s not a con without Joss Whedon!
Erica took the reins on that write up as well here.
And then Erica was grabbed for an interview by Marvel TV!
Fangirl alert!
I spotted a woman with a hat that said, “My crotch smells like a scene from the walking dead.” Gotta love that! Only at SDCC!
Then we headed back to Marvel for the Captain America: The Winter Soldier Signing.
Again Erica did a great recap of that one as well here.
needless to say it was one of the best signings of the day. Anthony Mackie was so nice. Like over the top nice. Chris Evans was in a great mood and he even signed my extra Captain America mini poster for me. You can never have enough Captain America signed posters!
Then Erica and I bolted to the Orphan Black signing at the BBC.
She had a great time and recapped that here.
I… I got a rock… Doh! Sadly, the line got cut before I got to go in!
That’s okay, I had a pretty epic day and this was my light day! Say Wha?
Jeff Bridges, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Kit Harrington, Emily VanCamp, Joss Whedon, Clark Gregg, Anthony Mackie in one day… And it’s the light day?
I did manage to run into one of my bestest friends ever wandering around! #SDCCmiracle
Only at SDCC!
Plus I still was able to relax a little and have a small amount of shut eye!
Until next time kids…
One more SDCC Day!

Starting this website has been a labor of love. I love sharing my fandom experiences but more than that I love hearing everyone else’s stories. I love hearing about conventions, movie locations, meet celebrities good and bad, I love it all. I sincerely hope you enjoy my exploits, the adventures of everyone who submits an article, and all the members of the Fanboy Family! Without everyone who writes and reads MTF there wouldn’t be a site. This is truly for the fans, by the fans!

The lay wearing the “offensive” hat is from Dick’s Last Resort. It’s an obnoxious bar/restaurant where the whole theme is “bad service” and they do crazy stuff like that all the time. It’s really quite a fun place to go with a group of friends.
Those Marvel signings looked awesome, especially SHIELD. Too bad they are so super secret, I always miss them 🙁
Maybe next year!
They didn’t announce the signings until Wednesday, I think. It was a bit later than usual. (Check the Marvel Events app or follow AgentM on twitter since he posted it first,)
When in doubt, run to the Marvel booth first thing I the morning since that’s when they do the (instant) lottery draw for the major signings.
